Tech mogul Elon Musk has announced a significant feature for X (formerly Twitter). The new feature is to improve the visibility of pinned posts on the platform. The billionaire said that the latest recommendation algorithm will ensure that all of a user”s followers see their pinned post every 48 hours.

“A change is coming to our recommendation algorithm that will ensure that all your followers see your pinned posts,” wrote Elon Musk on his X handle on February 29. “This only applies to one pinned post every ~48 hours to prevent gaming of the system,” Musk added. Earlier on February 21, Elon Musk indicated new changes. On that occasion, Musk mentioned in an X post that the platform would adjust the algorithm to prioritize showing pinned posts to followers.

With the latest modifications, X is trying to enhance the user experience. Recently, the microblogging site rolled out an update that will allow all X users to make voice and video calls from its platform. It is to be noted that the feature, which was introduced last year, was initially available only for X Premium subscribers. According to the X support page, users will be able to control who can call them from the Direct Messages Settings.

The platform has also unveiled enhanced call privacy settings as part of the development. “With this setting enabled, your IP address will be hidden from people you call and receive calls from,” added X in its support page. It is worth mentioning that Elon Musk is making constant efforts to expand the X beyond just messaging and create an “everything app.”
