The new update was announced through an X post by the company’s “Live Account” which is only for premium customers and turns X into the only platform that charges to host a live stream. Social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube let users go live for free.
Currently, X Basic, Premium membership is priced at Rs 566.67 and Premium+ is priced at 1,133.33 per month. Premium users have more access to all features and they would get all the exclusive benefits of the X platform than the other users. Nevertheless, other account handles can follow different profiles, read posts, share stories and enable basic features or functions without a premium subscription.
Elon Musk had announced earlier this year, that the X would soon start subscriptions to new accounts for those who want to post, bookmark, reply or like posts with 1$ annual fee. According to the reports, the X platform dominates holding around 6 billion visits per month which is generated from a ballpark of 850 million individual visitors every month. The platform also allows verified users to do interviews, podcasts, and long videos without a durational limit and will appear in a single X post.
