Microsoft has recently released a new update for the Windows 11, including almost 150 new features. The AI-powered assistant, named as Copilot, is one among the significant feature included in this update. The software giant said that they have also added new AI-powered experiences to apps like Paint, Photos and Clipchamp. This update enhances built-in apps, making tasks easier for the users and improving overall user experience to increase productivity.
With the Copilot feature, Microsoft says that users ask the AI to write a summary of a book in the middle of a Word document, or to select an image and have the AI remove its background. “It will be a simple and seamless experience, available in Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and in our web browser with Edge and Bing,” Microsoft wrote. The AI feature will assist the users for various tasks like writing documents, summarizing emails as well as preparing demonstrations.
The Copilot feature will be available on the Windows 11 desktop taskbar or users can access it through a keyboard shortcut (Win+C). Microsoft informed that its web browser Edge will also have Copilot integrations. This feature started rolling out on Windows 11 from September 26 through a free Windows 11 update. The Copilot feature also supports voice inputs.
Meanwhile, the Paint app has also received a generative AI powered upgrade with the Windows 11 Copilot. The Photos app also got the update with new AI-enabled features like Background Blur and enhanced search results. Improved search functionality permits users to find images based on their content or location.
