Reliance Jio has introduced a new phone under its JioBharat Series in India, named the JioBharat B1. This affordable 4G feature phone was launched in India on Thursday, October 12. JioBharat B1 is an improved version of Jio”s line of affordable feature phones, like the JioBharat V2 and K1 Karbonn models.
The Jio Bharat B1 4G, priced at Rs. 1,299, features a 2.4-inch QVGA rectangular display. Jio has upgraded the display, as the previous JioBharat devices featured a 1.77-inch display. It comes with a 0.05GB of RAM and a 2,000 mAh battery. Jio claims that the new model provides a standby time of up to 343 hours on a single charge. It also features a QVGA rear camera with an LED flash. The phone also includes a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity.
One of the interesting features of the all-new Jio Bharat B1 4G is that it comes with inbuilt JioPay, which will help users make UPI payments. It also supports 23 languages, including Indian regional languages. The phone also has expandable memory up to 128GB via a microSD card. Like the other models, JioBharat B1 comes bundled with Jio Apps, including JioCinema and JioSaavn.
The model will be available in black colour option through the Amazon and Jio website. Reliance introduced affordable JioBharat phones with the objective of empowering people with the power of digital services. Reliance earlier stated that the introduction of these devices will mark the beginning of Digital Freedom for the 250 million feature phone users in India and will bridge the digital divide.
