A man attempted to throw a liquid at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during a padyatra in Delhi’s Greater Kailash area. Security personnel quickly intervened and overpowered the individual, preventing any further disruption.

The incident, which unfolded during Kejriwal’s public outreach, has sparked criticism of Delhi’s law and order situation. While details about the attacker’s motive remain unclear, the event has drawn a sharp response from AAP leaders.

Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating repeated attacks on Kejriwal, referencing previous incidents in Nangloi and Chhatarpur. He also criticised the BJP-led central government for failing to maintain law and order in the capital.

“Shoot-outs and gang wars are becoming routine in Delhi. Protection money is being extorted, and crimes like the murder of a gym owner in Greater Kailash and a stabbing in Panchsheel Park show the deteriorating state of security. Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal faces constant threats. The central government and Home Minister have failed to act,” Bharadwaj stated.

“BJP leaders carry our rallies in all states, they are never attacked… There are continuous attacks on Arvind Kejriwal… BJP attacked him in Nangloi. He was attacked in Chhatarpur… The law and order in Delhi have collapsed and the central government and the Home Minister are not doing anything…,” he told the news agency ANI.
