New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched a scathing attack against Aam Aadmi Party and its chief Arvind Kejriwal, calling the decade-long administration of the national capital a disaster, a month ahead of the assembly elections
Speaking at his first public rally in the poll-bound state, the Prime Minister accused the AAP of derailing development for the past ten years while asserting that the lotus (BJP symbol) would bloom in the national capital. The prime minister said that a newspaper disclosed the expenditure the former Delhi chief minister incurred for building his abode, Sheesh Mahal.

The Prime Minister said during the covid pandemic, when people of Delhi were struggling to get medicines and oxygen, these people were focused on building their Sheesh Mahal, alleging that the party has not cared about the people of Delhi.
Urging the people to give a chance to the party in the upcoming assembly elections, the Prime Minister claimed that only the BJP could develop Delhi as a world-class capital city.
Addressing the rally at Japanese Park in Rohini, PM Modi expressed his confidence about the saffron party’s electoral prospects, noting that this was the best time to win the hearts of the people of Delhi and remove “this AAP-da from Delhi.”
“In the last 10 years, the government that Delhi has seen is no less thathan ‘AAP-da.’ ‘AANow, we can only hear ‘AAP-da nahi sahenge, badal ke rahenge‘ (we won’t tolerate this disaster; we want change for good) in Delhi,” the Prime Minister said, accusing the Kejriwal-led party of not having any development vision for Delhi because they are “anti-people.”

However, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has responded to Narendra Modi’s allegations, stating that the Prime Minister abused the people of Delhi and the majority government elected by them.
At a press conference hours after the prime minister’s rally, Kejriwal said that for about 39 minutes of his speech, Mr. Modi abused the people of Delhi and the elected government. “Had the Modi government performed in ten years, he would not have needed to abuse the people of Delhi,” he added.
The AAP leader further said that someone who has made a house worth ₹2,700 crore for himself, someone who flies in an ₹8,400 crore plane, and someone who wears a suit worth ₹10 lakh talks about Sheesh Mahal doesn’t sound good.
“I do not want to indulge in personal attacks. I do not do politics of abuse. I have worked enough in the last ten years. I believe in politics of development,” Kejriwal said while referring to the custom-made “Narendra Damodardas Modi” pinstriped suit allegedly worth Rs 10 lakh.
