Al Jazeera Jouralist Wael Dahdouh's Son Hamza Killed In Israeli Air Strike

Israeli airstrike killed Hamza Dahdouh, eldest son of Al Jazeera’s Gaza bureau chief Wael Dahdouh. He was killed when the occupation force launched missile strike on western part of Khan Younis, Gaza. Another journalist, Mustafa Thuraya was also killed in the strike. He was killed while tarvelling in a vehicle near to al-Mawasi, which was a supposedly safe area.

Media report said, both the journalist vehicles was targeted by the occupation force, as they were trying to interview civilians who were displaced by the heavy Israeli bombing on Gaza. Both Hamza and Mustafa are in their 20s.

Wael Dahdouh said “Hamza was everything to me, the eldest boy, he was the soul of my soul…these are the tears of parting and loss, the tears of humanity”, as quoted by Al Jazeera. Wael Dahdouh family gained global attention after the Israeli air strike killed his wife and other son and daughter, along with his nephew, on October 25. In December, he got injured by the occupation force’s attack which killed his colleague Samar Abudaqa. But Dahdouh never stayed back from performing duty as a journalist.
