As US Bombs Iranian Cities Amid Peace Talk, Kuwait Reports Missile And Drone Attacks

The US military on Monday said that it attacked Iranian radar and drone sites in the city of Goruk and the island of Qeshm over the weekend amid the ongoing negotiation with Tehran.

On June 1, Kuwait also reported hostile missile and drone attacks, as Iran’s IRGC says it launched a retaliatory strike on a US base that it claimed was used to attack Iranian territory.

The US strike has shaken the fragile ceasefire as negotiations between the two sides have stalled. Meanwhile, the Israeli forces have begun a historic incursion deep inside Lebanon drawing global condemnation and putting the US-Iran ceasefire at risk. 

Israeli forces on Sunday seized a symbolic fort in southern Lebanon that offers commanding views across Lebanon and into northern Israel.

Amid the latest development, Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned the US was not to be trusted, saying Tehran would not agree to any deal with Washington unless it fully secured Iranian rights.
