
India And UAE To Strengthen Cultural Ties With Establishment Of 'India House'
In a move to deepen cultural ties between the United Arab Emirates and India, a UAE delegation, after holding a high-level meeting with the Indian Council, has decided to establish an “India House” in the UAE. The India House concept aims to showcase India’s rich artistic and cultural heritage on a global scale.
This major decision was taken during the high-level meeting co-chaired by Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi and K. Nandini Singla, Director General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

In addition to the establishment of India House, the meeting also focused on the operationalization of the India Cultural Council and efforts to foster people-to-people connections. Discussions centered on enhancing collaboration across various domains, including the arts, education, creative industries, heritage conservation, and youth engagement.
Furthermore, both sides explored ways to support creative start-ups, facilitate business-to-business collaborations, and establish thematic sub-committees to oversee cooperation in priority areas.
“The meeting with Nandini Singla and the ICCR delegation served as a symbol of the UAE and India’s shared commitment to developing enhanced cultural and creative partnerships. By expanding cultural exchanges and fostering collaboration across our dynamic art and creative communities, we are ensuring that the enduring ties between our two nations continue to flourish,” Al Kaabi said.

Both delegations concluded the meeting by affirming their intent to implement outcome-oriented initiatives in line with the vision set by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The UAE delegation included Mubarak Al Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture; Ghanem Al Hajeri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports; Abdulnasser Alshaali, UAE Ambassador to India; and Abdelrahman Al Maeeni, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy.
Noura Binth Mohammed visited India to take part in the event hosted by Raisina Dailogue in New Delhi. She spoke at the summit on Destiny or Destination- Culture, Connectivity and Tourism. During the discussion, Noura also highlighted the role played by Indian community in the socio-economic sector of UAE.
