Amid Israeli rhetoric of retaliation against the massive Iranian attack, US broadcaster ABC today reported that Israel has launched a missile attack against Iran on early hours of Friday. There has been no official confirmation from Israel on the alleged attack. On April 13, Iran had launched missiles and drones against Israel following the zionist regime”s April 1 bombing on the Islamic Republic”s consulate in Damascus.

Here are the ten pointers on the latest escalation:

  1. Iran”s news agency Mehr has reported that the sound of several explosions was heard around 4:00 am in the northern and eastern regions of Iran”s Isfahan. The news agency, citing an official said that the sounds of explosions were caused by the destruction of three micro air vehicles over Isfahan.
  2. The news agency further said that on Friday, Iranian activated its air defence systems in the Vadi-e-Rahmat region of Tabriz and fired at a suspicious flying object, noting that there are no damages reported so far.
  3. Qatar-based Al Jazeera reported that flashes were seen in the sky above Iran. Citing an Iranian agency, the media house added that three drones were shot down. The sound of the explosions was heard as Iran fired an air defence system to shoot down three drones, the media house reports, citing an Iranian commander.
  4. The suspension of the flight in several cities has reportedly lifted after the threat of attacks was diminished.
  5. Following the alleged Israeli attack, a senior Iranian official has that it has no plan for immediate retaliation, adding that there was no clarity yet on who was behind the incident, news agency Reuters reports.
  6. “The foreign source of the incident has not been confirmed. We have not received any external attack, and the discussion leans more towards infiltration than attack,the news agency quoted an official with maintaining anonymity.
  7. Itamar Ben-Gvir, the far-right security minister made a social media post with the wordFeeble!.It reportedly suggested the limited Israeli strike in Iran.
  8. However, according to the Iranian news agency Mehr, the Iranian city of Isfahan is completely calm and safe, and it has returned to normal life.
  9. The Iranian state-owned news network Press TV also reported that there wasno sign of explosion or damageat a nuclear site near the city of Isfahan.
  10. Following the alleged Israeli attack, many countries including China, Italy and Oman have urged the parties to exercise restraint and work for de-escalation.
