Israel Announces Killing Of Another IDF Fighter In Lebanon In Hezbollah Attack

Tel Aviv, Israel: In yet another fatality for the Israeli Defense Force, another army man has been killed while fighting in Lebanon, marking the third death of IDF soldiers in a week.

The Israeli military announced the death of its fighter in a Hezbollah rocket attack on troops in southern Lebanon on Saturday. The Israeli fighter, identified as Sgt. Moshe Yitzchak Katz, 22, belongs to the Paratroopers Brigade’s 890th Battalion, and was also a member of the Chabad community in New Haven, Connecticut.

During the attack, three other soldiers were wounded, and have been taken to hospitals for treatment, the military said. Earlier this week, two Israeli army men were killed, and four others wounded in a Hezbollah anti-tank missile attack in southern Lebanon. Since Israel began its attack on Lebanon, the IDF has lost five fighters.

Israel and the US started the war with Iran on February 28, conducting strikes across Iranian cities and killing its Supreme Leader, Ayatullah Ali Kahmenie, also the respected religious authority of the Shiite community.

Iran started retaliatory attacks on US bases in the region while hitting military targets in Israel. Hezbollah, one of Iran’s proxies in the region, also joined the front fighting Israel as the Jewish nations continued to bomb Lebanon, killing thousands.
