US Prepares For Ground Operation In Iran: 'Hormuz Raid, Kharg Island Seizure'' On The Table
Pentagon, United States: The United States is reportedly preparing for a potential ground operation in Iran as the country faces repeated losses in the war with Tehran. The Pentagon has suggested that the operation would not be a ground invasion but a high-impact targeted strikes on strategic infrastructure in Iran, especially on Kharg island, and military deployments across the shores of Hormuz.
In a social media post, the US Central Command has announced that sailors and marines aboard USS Tripoli (LHA 7) arrived in the US Central Command area of responsibility on March 27.

“The America-class amphibious assault ship serves as the flagship for the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group / 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit composed of about 3,500 Sailors and Marines in addition to transport and strike fighter aircraft, as well as amphibious assault and tactical assets,” the US central command social media post reads.

According to reports, the upcoming operation would focus on dismantling Iran’s military capabilities through precision operations, targeting potential missile launch systems, air defenses and coastal installations threatening shipping routes.
