Thai PM Says Deal Reached With Iran For Safe Passage Thai Vessels Through Strait Of Hormuz
Bangkok, Thailand: Thailand Prime Minister Anutin Charnivirakul said on Saturday, March 28, that his country has reached a deal with Iran to allow Thai oil vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.
The country has been severely hit by the closure of the Strait since it has been heavily depending on oil imports from West Asia, which flows through the now-partially blockaded route.

The Prime Minister said the development would alleviate concerns about the country’s energy supply, which was disrupted since Iran closed the Strait amid US-Israeli attacks. Since the closure, several countries are seeking deals with Iran for solutions to the energy crises driven by the US-Israel attack on Iran. India, Italy and France have already struck deal with Iran allow safe passage through the Strait Of Hormuz
Most of Southeast Asian countries are bearing the brunt of fuel supply difficulties. There have been videos emerging from different countries showing long queue at fuel stations, depicting the plight of several countries.

During the press conference, the Thai Prime Minister said that an agreement has been reached to allow Thai oil tankers to transit safely through the Strait of Hormuz.
