Countries Seek Deals With Iran For Solution Amid Energy Crisis; Shows Who Is In Control: Analyst

Several countries, including Russia, China, France, Italy and India have been reaching out to Iran seeking ways and deals to secure safe oil passage as the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, skyrocketing energy prices.

Nations are ready to reach a deal and negotiate with Iran to secure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz for their energy needs.

‘Countries are reaching out to Iran for solutions and not the US, which clearly shows who is in control of the situation there, says Trita Parsi, co-founder of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft.

According to Parsi, India, Italy and France have already struck deals with Iran, have already struck deals with Iran, and they have approached Iran, not Washington, for the solution, the analyst points out, Al Jazeera quotes.

The global oil prices soaring above $100 per barrel. The closure of the Strait, which carries around 20% of global oil and liquefied natural gas supplies, has caused one of the largest disruption in the oil flow. The Iranian government has warned that the Strait will remain closed as a “tool of pressure” until its demands are met.

As the US-Israel continues to hit key Iranian facilities including oil refineries and infrastructures with aerial bombing, there are no signs of de-escalation. Attacks have been reported across Tehran and other cities everyday, causing mounting casualties and damages.
