Israel Attacks Gaza Hospitals One After Other, Claims Hamas Command Centre (X image @Abdullah_Om3r03)
Gaza, Palestine: After setting fire on the last standing hospital in Gaza and detaining its director Dr Hussam Abu Safia, Israel is now bombing Al Ahli hospital. Israel took hundreds of Palestinians as detainees from Kamal Adwan hospital, who were beaten and humiliated by the Israeli Occupation Force (IOF), as per media report, quoting released detainees. While Israel is sieging and burning down hospitals, new born babies in Gaza are freezing to death due to the lack of shelter in the excruciating cold. Some of the babies died due to hypothermia.
Arresting of the hospital’s director constitute to the violation of international humanitarian law, which upholds the protection of medical personnel in conflict zones. Pictures of circulating on social media showed him walking towards an Israeli tank alone clad in his doctor’s white coat. He has refused multiple Israeli orders to evacuate Kamal Adwan Hospital.

Israel has now started to attack Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza City. Videos of the hospital circulating on social media showed the top floor of the healthcare facility, also known as the Baptist Hospital, was hit by artillery shelling. The hospital is in the Zeitoun neighbourhood in northern Gaza that has been repeatedly besieged by Israeli ground and air forces.

After bombing Al Ahli, Israel also bombed al-Wafaa Hospital in the western part of Gaza City. The airstrike killed seven Palestinians, and wounded several others. Some are in critical condition, as per Gaza’s civil defence. Video footage of the hospital after the bombing shows disturbing scenes, including footage of charred and shredded bodies.
As always, the Israeli military has once again claimed that it was attacking Hamas. In a statement released, IOF said that Hamas operatives were hit “in a command and control complex established in a building that previously served as al-Wafaa Hospital in the Gaza City area and is no longer used as an active hospital”. As usual, the claims were provided without any solid proof.
Israel has been saying the same claim over and over again. For all the attack on hospitals, medical workers, volunteers, and journalists, Israel said it were attacking Hamas workers. Notably, the occupation force did not provide credible proof for any of the claims.

Earlier this week, the occupation force has bombed van carrying five journalists. The van has “Press” written visibly on its back. Israel said it was a “targeted” attack, and the journalists were working for Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
