Israel Force Evacuate Last Hospital In North Gaza, Strikes Yemen Airport; Houthis Claim To Retaliate (X image @nofiltersnick)

Houthis claim to retaliate against Israeli attack on Yemen’s airport in capital city Sana’a. The militant group said it had aimed at Israel’s Ben Gurion airport, and a drone attack on Tel Aviv. The Israeli Occupation Force (IOF) said Tel Aviv’s defences intercepted the ballistic missile before it reached Israeli airspace. Residents in central Israel were also asked to hide in shelters.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the head of the World Health Organization, was at Sana’a airport waiting to depart when the Israeli warplanes struck on Thursday. One of the crew member from the chief’s plane was injured during the bombing. The WHO chief had been in Yemen to negotiate the release of detained UN staff and to assess the humanitarian situation.

Israel and Houthis has been going to and forth with their tit-for-tat bombing exchanges. The Israeli attack on Thursday is believed to be in retaliation to the Houthi missile and drone launch against Israel on Wednesday. In a statement released, Houthis said Israel’s strikes “will only increase the determination and resolve of the great Yemeni people to continue supporting the Palestinian people”.

Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, vowed that Israel’s strike on Yemen will continue. He claimed that Israel’s aim in Yemen was the elimination of the Houthi threat, which he called a “terrorist entity in Iran’s axis of evil”. “We will persist until we complete the job”, Netanyahu said.

“As we have said – whoever harms Israel, we will harm them. We will hunt down all of the Houthis’ leaders and we will strike them just as we have done in other places. Nobody will be able to evade the long arm of Israel. We will strike at them in order to remove the threats to the state of Israel”, said Israel’s defence minister Israel Katz.

At the same time, Israel continue to pummel Gaza to no limit. The IOF has attacked and forced evacuated the Kamal Adwan hospital, the last function health facility in northern Gaza. Israel has killed five journalist earlier this week, who were trying to cover the atrocities in the hospital. One of the journalist killed was also reportedly waiting for his wife’s delivery. Israel said it was a targeted attack, and claimed the journalists to be members of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a usual tone Tel Aviv takes whenever it killed journalists, health workers, and other volunteers.

There are at least 75 patients inside the hospital who are at the risk of dying if not treated said Al Jazeera reports. The health facilities in Gaza has already collapsed due to intense Israeli bombing and unreasonable evacuation order from IOF.
