At Least 5 Killed As Houthis Hit Yemen's Presidential Palace In Aden
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: The Houthis have been demonstrating unrelenting strength against the Saudi-backed coalition forces, mounting powerful retaliation against attacks led by Riyadh. On Thursday night, the Yemeni militia struck the presidential palace in Aden, killing at least five people and injuring many others.
The attack follows a series of missile strikes on Riyadh International Airport and the Aramco facility, proving that the Yemeni group can strike deep inside Saudi Arabia.
The attack was the first in the current conflict between the Iran-aligned Houthis and Saudi Arabia on Aden’s Al-Maashiq palace, the official edifice of Yemen’s Saudi-backed and internationally recognised government.
Yemeni Information Minister Moammar al-Eryani said that Yemen’s prime minister and cabinet members were safe following the attack. The attack reportedly involved missiles and drones. Houthis called the attack as against the Saudi military operations headquarters in Aden The group vowed that it would target “Saudi reinforcements wherever they were located”.
