Houthis Say Aramco Facility In Riyadh Hit; Saudi Rejects It As 'Imaginary Victory'

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Houthis on Saturday claimed that it has struck n Aramco facility south of Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh. Reports indicate that flames and thick smoke were rising from the impacted area.

Though Saudi  authorities have not confirmed that the facility was attacked, the kingdom called the move an imaginary victory. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed that the facility was targeted with ballistic missiles and drones. The incident comes amid renewed tensions between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis.

Saudi Arabia had rejected claims by Yemen’s Houthi group that it targeted the Saudi capital Riyadh, describing the allegations as “misleading” Saudi-led coalition force spokesman Turki Al-Maliki told Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that the Houthis had suffered human losses in Yemen’s southwestern Taiz province and on other fronts.
