Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Chief Sadatullah Husaini Pays Tribute, Condemns Killing Of Ayatollah Khamenei
New Delhi: The President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Syed Sadatullah Husaini has expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the “martyrdom” of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The JIH President also strongly condemned his targeted assassination during the recent United States and Israeli military strikes in Tehran.
In a statement to the media, the JIH President said, “We express deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We express solidarity with the people of Iran during their declared period of national mourning and pray for patience and strength for the bereaved family members, including his daughter and other relatives who were also martyred.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was a towering figure in the contemporary Muslim world whose leadership shaped the political and ideological course of Iran for over three decades. Since assuming the position of Supreme Leader in 1989 following the demise of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, he stood as a symbol of steadfastness, independence, and resistance to foreign domination. His life reflected a deep commitment to safeguarding the sovereignty of his nation and upholding the principles of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. His martyrdom by the US-Israeli military strike in the holy month of Ramadan has deeply saddened millions across the Muslim world.”
Syed Sadatullah Husaini stated, “We strongly condemn the manner in which Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed. His assassination constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, a brazen assault on state sovereignty, and a deliberate act of aggression expressly forbidden under the UN Charter and customary international law, for which the US and Israel must be held fully accountable before the international community. By cynically fabricating pretexts to justify the cold-blooded murder of a sitting head of state, the US and Israel have not only committed an unlawful act of war but have also shown their rogue nature. Such nations that do not respect international norms, human dignity, and basic civilizational values must be isolated and punished for their unlawful aggression and repeated violations of international law.”

The President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind said, ” We call upon the international community to immediately move to halt further aggression against Iran and to confront the grave consequences of this dangerous escalation. They must fix accountability and bring those responsible for initiating this unprovoked attack on Iran before the International Court of Justice to answer for their actions. Aggression of this magnitude cannot be normalised or ignored under international law. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind reiterates that lasting peace and stability can only be established by respecting the sovereignty of nations, and firm adherence to ensuring justice in international relations.”
