IDF Explains The Al Shifa Hopsital 'Operation' As They Are "Only At War With Hamas"

The Israeli occupation force has entered inside Al Shifa hospital and has started to “interrogate” the patients, displaced refugees and hospital staffs about the hostages taken by Hamas on October 7th. Medical staffs and Journalist trapped inside the Al Shifa hospital said the situation is a “nightmare that cannot be imagined” as the Palestinians are “scared, brutally interrogated, and they are humiliated”.

Around 7,500 Palestinians including the medical staffs, refugees and patients are believed to be trapped inside the hospital. there are about 700 patients trapped inside the hospital among which 100 are in critical conditions. around 1000 of the trapped are health care workers who are unable to treat their patients due to the lack of fuel and medical supplies.

As the pressure started to mount on the occupation force to level down their brutality on the innocent civilians of the Gaza, the occupation force has come up with a message saying that they are “ONLY at war with Hamas”. The commanding officer of Israeli occupation force, Daniel Hagari said the alleged operation inside Al Shifa hospital is a “precise and targeted operation” and they “have soldiers trained specifically for this situation”.

World has denounced the heinous crime committed by the occupation force on the hospitals in the Gaza. Sources told Al Jazeera that the occupation force has searched the basement, surgical and emergency buildings within the complex of Al Shifa. It is also said that the occupation force has taken out about 30 people into the hospital courtyard, stripped off their clothes, blindfolded and interrogated by the occupation force. Warehouse of medicines and medical devises in the hospital were also bombed by the occupation force, as reported by Al Jazeera.

Report says the United States, Israel’s closest ally is getting “increasingly frustrated” at Netanyahu’s force for its war tactics as the death toll in Gaza has been dramatically increasing. Bloomberg said several of the officials from Biden Administration are having “more difficult” conversations with their Israeli counterparts as the US tries shape the war only for Israel to ignore them.

The report said that people familiar with the situation said that the Administration officials has ramped up their messaging to Israel as their impatience grew. It is said that majority of the Biden Administration believed that an open and strong public support for Benjamin Netanyahu would widen their space behind the scenes to shape the conduct of the war.

But such thoughts have gone to wind when the occupation force has entered another dimension of their attack which they claim to be “only against Hamas”, and the death toll civilians has increased to more than 11,000. The Administration is also under mounting pressure from their Arab allies who says that the Administration’s open embrace has given green signal to Netanyahu to go on with the genocide on Palestinians.

Last week, the US Secretary of States, Antony Blinken has said that “far too many Palestinians have been killed”. CNN reported that hundreds of personnel at the US Agency for International Development signed an open letter calling for ceasefire and there are reports about a “dissent memo” inside the State Department.

In an email written on Monday, Mr. Blinken said that, “I know that for many of you, the suffering caused by this crisis is taking profound personal toll…the anguish that comes with seeing the daily images of babies, children, elderly people, women and other civilians suffering in this crisis is wrenching. I feel it myself”.  He added that “far too many Palestinians have been died…much more can be done to reduce their suffering”.

The letter also included that as said by Mr. Blinken in private and public, “we believe in Palestinian people’s voices must be at the centre of post-crisis governance in Gaza. We believe in Palestinian-led governance of Gaza, with Gaza unified with the West Bank. Gaza’s reconstruction must be supported with sustained mechanism”, as reported by CNN.
