'They Will Fall Victims To...': Iran Reacts To US's Deployment Of Elite 82nd Airborne Soldiers To West Asia

Pentagon, United States: The US reportedly sending up to 3,000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne, the elite force known for rapid parachute assaults into West Asia amid the conflict with Iran. Iran parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned that American troops risk becoming victims of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s delusions.

The US-Israeli strikes across Iran on February 28 had sparked Iran’s repeated barrages on Israeli cities and US bases in the region. The deployment of additional forces is reportedly to bolster the military presence in West Asia.

Notably, the development comes amid the US claim to have reached a deal with Iran to end the war. Reacting to the US moves, Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf asked the US not to test their resolve to defend their land.

“We are closely monitoring all US movements in the region, especially troop deployments. What the generals have broke, the soldiers can’t fix; instead, they will fall victim to Netanyahu’s delusions. Do not test our resolve to defend our land,” Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said in an X post.
