US Tanker Set Ablaze In UAE's Sharjah; Video Shows Vessel Engulfed In Flames

Sharjah, United Arab Emirates: A US tanker has been seen burning in sea off the UAE after a suspected Iranian attack. The footage released by Press TV shows the vessel engulfed in flames, with thick clouds of smoke rising into the sky.

The incident took place off the coast of the emirate of Sharjah, the Iranian state media reported. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operation has confirmed that an explosion was heard near Sharjah port, with no confirmed damage, fire, or US link.

Iran has been carrying retaliatory attacks against US military bases in the region, since the US-Israel began joint military intervention in Iran, killing its supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Since the US attacked Iranian oil refineries, banks and economic and military institutions including schools, Iran has vowed to attack all US assets in the region, and issued evacuation warnings.
