Sanaa, Yemen: The US, UK carried out at least 15 airstrikes in Yemen’s capital Sanaa, including the vicinity of Sanaa International Airport. Washington and London has been bombing Yemen relentlessly for many days. Dozens were killed and majority of whom were women and children. The West is bombing the relatively poorest West Asia countries as an attempt to stop it from attacking commercial vessels in Red Sea.

Houthis, the militant group of Yemen started attacking Israeli-linked ships in Red Sea soon after Tel Aviv started its genocidal war in Gaza. The war started after Hamas, the political power and resistance group of Gaza attacked Tel Aviv on October 7 2023, which came as a result of decades long restrictions and denial of right against the Palestinians in their own land which is occupied by Israel.

The Yemeni Armed Force (YAF) responded to West’s attacks by drone and missile attacks on US warship in the Red Sea. They continued to attack vessels passing through the Suez Canal, which forced several western warships out of the regional waters last year. More than 100 commercial ships with link to Israel were attacked by the Houthis last year.

The West coalition renewed its attack on Sahar District of Saada governorate on Wednesday. The region has been attacked with two dozens of bombs in the middle of the night.

“They want us to stop so badly … They’ve got to say, ‘No mas.’ But I can only say that the attacks every day, every night … have been very successful beyond our wildest expectations … We’re going to do it for a long time. We can keep it going for a long time”, US President Donald Trump told reporters.

The attacks also targeted Al-Rasool al-Azam cancer hospital in Saada, marking the second attack on the oncology centre within the gap of few days.

“The US aggression targeted the hospital for the second time, leading to its destruction. This comes just days after multiple airstrikes hit the same hospital”, one security sources told SABA news agency.

“In response to the US aggression against our country … and within the framework of confronting escalation with escalation … the missile force, the unmanned air force, and the naval forces carried out a joint military operation targeting enemy warships in the Red Sea, led by the US aircraft carrier Truman, from which the aggression against our country is launched”, YAF said.

The group also announced about targeting of “Israeli enemy in the occupied Jaffa area with a number of drones”.

The attack was first from Yemen’s side following the collapse of Israel-Hamas ceasefire which came after one and half years of war. Yemen stopped attacking the Israeli-linked vessels following the ceasefire but warned about resuming the attack if Israel violated the ceasefire.

Israel refused to resume the talks on continuing the second phase of the ceasefire, demanding Hamas to return all the remaining Israeli hostages under its captivity, and said that the Israeli Occupation Force (IOF) will remain in Gaza.

Israel has restarted its genocide in Gaza by killing more than 400 in a massive air strike overnight. Over 700 Palestinians were killed so far during the bombing after the ceasefire, rising the death toll of Palestinians to more than 50,000 since October 7th, 2023.
