The death toll in Gaza since Israel restarted the genocidal war has reached nearly 900. Tel Aviv continue to bomb the Strip for 12th day straight after violating the ceasefire deal with Hamas. Israel also bombs Lebanon targeting capital Beirut, which is first after reaching a ceasefire agreement with country’s militant group Hezbollah in last November. Meanwhile, US bombed Yemen more than 72 times on Friday, as per local media report.

Israel President Benjamin Netanyahu refused to go forward with the agreed upon ceasefire deal. Tel Aviv refused to comply with the second phase, and restarted bombing Gaza, forced displacement of the Palestinians and cut down all the aids entering the Strip. UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) chief Philippe Lazzarini has warned no aid has entered Gaza for more than three weeks – the longest period since the war began.

Taking to X, UN under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs and emergency relief coordinator, Tom Fletcher said all the entry points to the Gaza are blocked. “At the border, food is rotting. Medicine is expiring. Vital medical equipment is stuck…If the basic principles of humanitarian law still count, the international community must act to uphold them”.

UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) also warned about serious humanitarian crisis in Gaza where doctors are struggling to treat the wounded from Israel’s renewed attacks. Israel killed more than 50,000 Palestinians in Gaza since the starting of the war in October 2023.

Israel bombed an area near a school in Beirut, causing panic. Residents fled as a building was flattened in the Hadath neighbourhood in Beirut’s southern suburbs after Israeli fighter jets carried out four strikes in an attack which is reminiscent of last year’s months-long bombing campaign.

The US military bombed numerous Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen on Friday, including the capital Sanaa, killing at least one person and injuring several more. Local media Al Masirah TV said that US fighter jets bombed the country a total of 72 times on Friday. US military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) – which now has authority from the White House to strike offensively in Yemen without pre-approval – confirmed its forces struck “Houthi positions”, without providing more details.
