“Endless Entertainment”: Shashi Tharoor As Paraguay Employee Fired For Dealings With Nithyananda’s Kailasa

Congress leader and member of parliament Shashi Tharoor took to social media to talk about the recent firing of the Paraguayan official for dealing with Nithyanada”s Kailasa. A Paraguayan official was fired this week after signing a document with purported officials from the “United Stated of Kailasa”.

“This gentleman’s bizarre and barely-comprehensible statements have been an endless source of entertainment of Indians on WhatsApp”, he wrote on X sarcastically. He then mentioned the recent incident of Nithyananda’s mendacious eccentricities. “But now Nithyananda’s mendacious eccentricities have cost a hapless Paraguayan official his job,” he wrote on X.

Arnaldo Chamorro, a Paraguayan official was sacked from his post of chief of staff to the agriculture minister after signing the document with the purported officials from the “United states of Kailasa” which was presented to him as South American island.

The chief admitted to have been fooled and said that the so-called “officials” expressed their wish to help the country and even discussed few projects with them. The fake officials also met with his minister Carlos Gimenez. Arnaldo later said that the motives of the group are still unknown.

The two parties after the discussion signed a memorandum envisaging the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The document with the ministry’s letterhead and official seal, salutes Chamorro “the honourable Nithyanada Paramashivam, sovereign of the United States of Kailasa and also praises him for his contribution to Hinduism, humanity and the Republic of Paraguay, reports NDTV.

The memorandum further stated that “government of Paraguay actively explore the establishment of diplomatic relations with the United States of Kailasa and supports its admission as a sovereign state to various international organizations, including the United Nation.”

But the ministry has said that the memorandum “cannot be considered official” nor confer any obligations on the state of Paraguay.

The creator of the United States of Kailasa, self-styled godman Swami Nithyanada, a cult-leader is accused of multiple major crimes committed in India. He is the founder of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, which has a significant number of spiritual adherents and owns numerous temples and gurukuls throughout India.

Kailasa is a micronation, a self-proclaimed entity claiming to be independent sovereign states but are not recognised by other countries or the UN.
