Myanmar Military Airstrike On Hospital In Western Rakhine State Kills Over 30
Rakhine, Myanmar: A Myanmar military air strike at the general hospital in Mrauk-U in western Rakhine state has killed at least 31 people. The strike happened ahead of the elections scheduled this month, signaling power war in the country.
The latest strike conducted by the military junta led to the death of 31 while leaving other 68 people injured.
The military snatched power in a 2021 putsch ending a decade-long experiment with democracy, and as per the conflict monitors, the junta has increased air strikes year-on-year since the military takeover.
While the military has set polls starting December 28, the rebels has declared that they would block the elections from territory they control. Currently, a series of deadly aerial attacks has been occurring targeting the armed pro-democracy forces, as per the reports.
