Paris Hilton entertainment company pulls back its advertising campaign from social media platform X just one month after announcing exclusive partnership with the company. They have decided to halt ad spending on site following the website CEO’s alleged antisemitic remarks.

Recently, many high-profile companies including Apple, Disney, IBM and Oracle has pulled down their ads from X alleging that their ads appeared next to antisemitic content on X.

Bruce Gersh, 11:11 Media’s president and chief operating officer announced their decision to pull the campaign from the platform immediately, reports CNN. This decision by the company was a huge blow to X as they have announced a major partnership last month which included a revenue sharing agreement between the parties. X CEO Linda Yaccarino announced the deal with Paris Hilton in October on X platform. She wrote, ““The queen of pop culture, music, business, and TV is #Sliving on X”.

They have also aimed to create “a launchpad for new initiatives in video and live video, live commerce, Spaces, and much more”.

As per the CNN report, the spokesperson from Hilton declined to comment on whether the suspension of 11:11 ad campaign means the end of agreement with X.

On November 17, the White House condemned Elon Musk for his antisemitic post. White House spokesperson Andrew Bates said in a statement that it is unacceptable to repeat the hideous lie behind the most fatal act of antisemitism in American history.

A left leaning media watchdog Media Matter for America put out a report last week alleging that major companies’ advertisements were placed near antisemitic posts. But X filed a defamation lawsuit against the group on Monday, arguing it created a ‘false impression’ about how ads are being placed.
