'Quad Summit' And 'Summit Of The Future' On PM Modi's List During US Visit

India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri shared the information about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming US visit from September 21 to 23. While sharing the information the foreign secretary highlighted the importance of Modi’s state visit.

Secretary said, “The PM will be visiting the US from September 21-23. This visit combines many aspects, it has a very important bilateral aspect to it, a very important unilateral aspect to it, and an equally important multilateral aspect to it.”

While sharing the PM’s schedule and interactions, he said, “There will be interaction with a variety of foreign partners at the level of the PM. There will be interaction with large Indian diaspora in the US and there will be engagement with a host of business and industry leaders”.

PM Modi will also attend the 6th Quad summit to be held in the US this year. Misri said, “The PM’s first stop will be in Wilmington, Delaware, which is the hometown of President Biden. It is also the venue of the sixth Quad Summit. It also happens to be the fourth in-person summit between the Quad leaders. From Wilmington, the PM will travel to New York to attend the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly.”

PM Modi and US President Joe Biden will meet on the sidelines of the Quad Summit in Delaware, and two leaders reportedly expect to review the India-US bilateral partnership. Earlier, the both the leaders have met on the sidelines of G7 summit in Italy.

US President will host the fourth in person Quad Summit on September 21. India will host the next Quad summit following the summit held in US this year.
