Ampere Nexus: Setting A New Standard In Premium Electric Mobility

Ampere Vehicles, a prominent player in the electric mobility segment, has officially unveiled its latest and most high-end model, the Ampere Nexus e-scooter. Priced at Rs 1.10 lakh for the base model and Rs 1.20 lakh for the higher-end variant, both prices are introductory and expected to increase shortly. The e-scooter is set to be available by the end of May, with bookings already underway.

The Nexus is built on a newly developed platform, designed and produced at Ampere’s facility in Tamil Nadu. It is offered in two variants: the EX and the ST. The Ampere Nexus marks a significant step up in the company’s lineup, promising to deliver premium features and performance.

Powering the Nexus is a 3kWh lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) battery, boasting a remarkable range of 136 kilometers on a full charge, as certified. The scooter is equipped with a mid-mounted motor that enables it to reach a top speed of 93 kmph, making it one of the faster offerings in the electric scooter market today.

The EX variant of the Nexus comes equipped with a 6.2-inch LCD console, while the ST variant boasts a more advanced 7-inch TFT display. Both models feature Bluetooth connectivity, enhancing the rider’s convenience by allowing seamless smartphone integration. Additional features shared by the models include hill hold control, LED lighting, and five riding modes, catering to various riding preferences and conditions.

From a hardware perspective, the Nexus is equipped with telescopic front suspension and dual rear shock absorbers, providing a comfortable and stable ride. It rides on 12-inch wheels, with a braking system that comprises a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear, ensuring adequate stopping power.

Aesthetically, the Ampere Nexus is available in four colour options: Zanskar Aqua, Lunar White, Steel Grey, and Indian Red, giving potential buyers a variety of choices to suit their personal style.
