Sadashiv Lokhande, Shiv Sena (Shinde) Candidate Fielded To Retain Shirdi Constituency

Sadashiv Kisan Lokhande is fielded as the Shiv Sena candidate from the Shridi constituency. He is the current sitting MP of Shiv Sena from Shridi. After the split in Shiv Sena, Sadashiv Lokhande decided to leave Uddav Thackeray and went with Eknath Shinde. 

Born in 1962, Sadashiv hails from Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. His parents are Kisan Lokhande and Kerabai Lokhande. At the beginning of his political career, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly three times in a row (1995, 1999, 2004). He represented the Karjat Jamkhed constituency in the Ahmednagar district. His early stringent political moves have helped him set his later positions in Maharashtra. 

Later Sadashiv joined Shiv Sena in 2014. He was then elected to the 16th Lok Sabha. Later being once again elected to the 17th Lok Sabha, Sadashiv reinforced his standing in Maharashtra politics. 

In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, Sadhashiv won from the Shridi Lok Sabha constituency by securing 4,86,820 votes defeating the Congress candidate Bhanusaheb Kamble. In the 2014 election, Sadhashiv won the Shridi seat by securing 5,32,936 votes.

Shridi Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra. This constituency came into existence after the delimitation. It is one of the two Lok Sabha constituencies in Ahmednagar district. It first held its election in 2009 and the first member to be elected was Bhausaheb Rajaram Wakchaure of Shiva Sena. The Shridi constituency consists of six Vidhan Sabha segments.
