Tokyo 2020 gold medallist Neeraj Chopra is set to compete at the Ostrava Golden Spike Athletics Meet on May 28 in Czechia. He will set his eyes on the podium spot after securing a gold medal in the Federation Cup and second-place finish at the Doha Diamond League.

Chopra began his cycle to the Paris 2024 with a throw of 88.36m, only two centimeters behind Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Jakub Vadlejch. Later, his throw of 82.27m was enough to secure a top podium spot at the Federation Cup as he surpassed the second-best throw of 82.06m from DP Manu.

Joining Chopra will be Jakub Vadlejch and Anderson Peters renewing their rivalry in Czechia. After taking the top three spots at the Doha Diamond League, the global gold medal trio of Vadlejch, Chopra and Peters will clash again at the Ostrava Golden Spike.

In Ostrava, they will join the already announced Mondo Duplantis, Gianmarco Tamberi, Haruka Kitaguchi, Steven Gardiner and Ewa Swoboda.
