Hyundai has expanded the Exter range by launching two new variants and both the latest additions— S+ (AMT) and S(O)+ (MT) —get electric sunroof as a flagship feature and are priced at Rs 7.86 lakh, and Rs 8.44 lakh, ex-showroom. Exter is the smallest SUV in Hyundai India’s lineup with prices competitively starting at Rs 6.13 lakh

It comes with some additional features on offer in these new variants that include a digital instrument cluster with colour TFT Multi-Information Display (MID), an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, all power windows, LED DRLs, front and rear skid plates, headlamp escort function, floor mats, and more.

New variants  with new features

Hyundai has equipped Exter with safety features such as  6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, Day & Night IRVM, tyre pressure monitoring system – Highline , Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), vehicle stability management (VSM), burglar alarm, ABS with EBD, impact-sensing auto door unlock, and emergency stop signal (ESS) to name a few.

Exteriors of Exter are highlighted by a sleek black mesh radiator grille, projector headlights, and a distinctive H-shaped LED DRL. The vehicle’s sides are highlighted by black panels and striking alloy wheels featuring a diamond-cut pattern, adding depth and visual interest to its profile. The SUV boasts a sporty roof spoiler at the rear, shark-fin antenna, and rear wiper, culminating in a dramatic H-shaped LED taillight design that completes its athletic stance.

The Exter is powered by 1.2-litre Kappa four-cylinder naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine producing 82 bhp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque output of 113.8Nm at 4,000rpm. While one variant is mated with a 5-speed manual while the other is paired to an AMT gearbox. Exter is in direct competition with the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.

Earlier, Hyundai had launches New Exter CNG Variant to Compete with Tata Punch.The Exter Hy-CNG Duo boasts two key features such as Dual-cylinder CNG technology. This innovative design allows for more boot space compared to traditional CNG setups, giving you more room for luggage or groceries.

It has excellent fuel efficiency and returns an impressive 27.1 Km/kg, making it a great choice for cost-conscious drivers. The starting price for the Exter Hy-CNG Duo is Rs 8,50,300 (ex-showroom). New Exter CNG Variant comes in three variants: S, SX, and EXTER KNIGHT SX, all featuring a 1.2L Bi-Fuel engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. And with the new launches Hyundai is all set to give tough competition to other brands in the same segment.
