Is Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Going To Be In India Soon?
For the first time, the newest Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, which is currently available for purchase abroad, was seen in India. It’s interesting to note that Toyota did not display the off-road vehicle during Auto Expo 2025. The SUV was recently seen on a transporter in a number of movies, and we have pictures of the outside and inside. Let’s decipher what it looks like. The grille’s vertical slats indicate that this is the Prado VX model. Square LED headlights, a 360-degree camera, 20-inch black alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, and side stairs are among of the vehicle’s noteworthy features.
Notably, the vehicle that was observed featured a sunroof, although the VX variation does not in places like Australia. A new steering wheel with the “TOYOTA” letter mark, an all-black interior,a digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment that’s likely to be 12.3 inches, a wireless charging pad, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat and AC vents for the second and third rows.
The Prado’s 2.8-litre diesel engine produces 204 horsepower and 500 Nm in Europe and Japan. In the Toyota Fortuner, this is the same unit that performs its duties. But it also has an 8-speed automatic and a 48V mild hybrid system, which isn’t available here. Toyota also provides a 2.4-liter gasoline-hybrid drivetrain in the Middle East and North America, which is shared by several Toyota and Lexus vehicles worldwide.
This unit may be headed to Bhutan, since we have already established that the new Prado would launch by late 2025. In India, it will be less expensive than the Land Cruiser (LC300), which costs Rs 2.10 crore. Since the Prado will be offered as a CBU, its expected price range is Rs 1.7 crore and Rs 1.95 crore. The Toyota Prado will take on the Land Rover Defender.
Ahead of its late 2025 introduction, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado has been sighted in India. It will sit beneath the LC300 and include strong engine options, cutting-edge technology, and upscale design features. Priced between ₹1.7 crore and ₹1.95 crore, it is anticipated to be a CBU and will go up against the Land Rover Defender.
