Toyota added a new feature to the Innova Hycross. A new technology dubbed Acoustic Vehicle Warning System (AVAS) is available in some versions of the upgraded Hycross, which is priced between Rs 19.09 lakh and Rs 31.34 lakh (ex-showroom).There are still many takers in India for this mammoth size Multi passenger Vehicle.
High-end electric vehicles (EVs) frequently have the AVAS feature. When traveling at low speeds in electric mode, it essentially uses external speakers to create artificial sounds to warn nearby pedestrians and other road users of the vehicle’s presence. Strong hybrid cars with a restricted range in fully electric mode may also benefit from this capability.
The Innova Hycross is unnoticeable to nearby cars or pedestrians because it is absolutely silent when in EV mode and produces no engine noise. By alerting drivers surrounding the car, the feature aims to lower the chance of an accident. The Innova Hycross VX, VX (O), ZX, and ZX (O) models now have the AVAS feature.

A 360-degree camera, six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill-hold assist, and vehicle stability control are among the safety features that the Toyota Innova Hycross has in addition to AVAS. Adaptive cruise control, a blind spot monitor, automatic high lights, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane keep assist are just a few of the many ADAS features it provides.
In the powerful hybrid versions of the Innova Hycross, the former “Hybrid” label has been replaced with the new “HEV” (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) emblem. Toyota’s worldwide branding strategy is in line with the new badging. The tailgate and front doors also get the new emblems.
The Innova Hycross doesn’t change mechanically. There are two possibilities for gasoline engines. The first is a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated gasoline engine with 209 Nm of torque and 171 horsepower. The only transmission available for this engine is a CVT automatic.
A 2.0-liter powerful hybrid gasoline engine with an e-Drive transmission and a combined power output of 182 horsepower is the other option. Toyota claims that the hybrid model has a fuel economy of 23.24 km/l whereas the regular gasoline vehicles only manage 16.13 km/l.
