MG Cyberster, M9 Pre-Bookings Commence Ahead Of Launch; Priced Below Rs 1 Crore
When JSW MG Motor introduces the first batch of Completely Built Units (CBU) to India, it will begin a new era. Under its new MG Select program, the Chinese-owned British automaker said last year that it will introduce fully-imported cars. The Cyberster will be MG’s first CBU model in India, followed by the M9.
Both of these battery-powered vehicles are currently accepting pre-bookings. At an MG Select dealership or on the company’s official website, potential customers can make reservations by paying a nominal fee of Rs 51,000. The business currently operates 13 MG Select dealerships throughout the nation, including in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai.
The Cyberster has a state-of-the-art infotainment system with two 7-inch screens on either side of a central 10.25-inch touchscreen. With its 8-speaker Bose sound system, 6-way power-adjustable seats, 4-way steering wheel, sumptuous leather upholstery, two USB outlets, and seamless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, this convertible roadster is loaded with high-end equipment. Convenience is increased by voice command capability, and the retractable roof opens or closes in 15 seconds.
An advanced suite of driver assistance technologies (ADAS), such as adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, collision warning, and lane-keeping assist, are included in the Cyberster’s safety features. In order to provide a safe and secure driving experience, it also has six airbags, a 360-degree camera, traction control, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), a blind spot monitor, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The electric sportscar will have an all-wheel drive system with two motors. This dual-motor system produces 504 horsepower and 725 Nm of peak torque. Four drive modes are available: Track, Sport, Custom, and Comfort. A 77 kWh battery pack provides the energy for the dual-motor configuration, which has a 444 km range on a single charge.
The MG Cyberster marks a bold entry into India’s EV market with its cutting-edge tech, premium features, and high-performance dual-motor setup delivering 504 bhp and 725 Nm torque. With a 77 kWh battery offering 444 km range, ADAS safety suite, and luxurious interiors, this convertible roadster promises an exhilarating yet secure driving experience and a smooth one too.
