New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire Likely To Be Launched On November 11

Maruti Suzuki has officially announced that the new-gen Dzire and the most successful sedan will be launched on November 11. The Dzire is the most sought after sedan across all segments in the Indian market and will go up against the likes of the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor and the upcoming Honda Amaze. The next-generation version of India’s most successful sedan is set to make its debut during festivities.

The Design dynamics

Maruti Suzuki has been making an effort to ensure that the it doesn’t look like the Swift. The sedan continues to be based on its hatchback sibling, but the four-wheeler wants it to look distinct, premium and have a strong presence of its own. The Dzire has received a makeover, replacing its honeycomb grille with a fresh design featuring bold horizontal slats similar to Audi’s distinctive appeal The Dzire has evolved to look more assertive with strong street presence, adorned by a muscular bonnet with striking character lines.

Maruti Suzuki has revamped everything from the lighting, adding sharp new angular LED headlamps and LED fog lamps housed within a redesigned front bumper. The side profile is accentuated by a prominent shoulder line, stylish metal-finished windowsills, and eye-catching dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear design is enhanced with sleek LED tail lamps and a slender metallic strip positioned above them.

Interiors and Exterior Features

Maruti Suzuki has given the Dzire a significant upgrade and is packed with an array of features which revealed that the new Dzire will include a single-panel sunroof, a first in this segment. Drawing from the Swift’s offerings, the updated Dzire is expected to come equipped with a 9-inch infotainment system, automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera, and an analogue instrument cluster featuring a multi-information display.

It is also loaded with safety features, including six airbags, hill-hold assist, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), a reverse parking camera, and both Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).

Technical Specifications

The new Dzire will carry the 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine sourced from the Swift generating 80 bhp of power and 111.7 Nm of torque. It will be available with two transmission options: a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. Moreover, Maruti Suzuki intends to launch a CNG variant of the Dzire as well.
