Written by S Das

Jeep enthusiasts in India are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 2024 Wrangler facelift, scheduled to launch on April 22. This revamped version of the iconic off-roading vehicle promises a host of updates and enhancements, maintaining its position as a formidable competitor in the segment. Let’s delve into what the new Wrangler has to offer.

Continuing its tradition, Jeep will offer the 2024 Wrangler in two variants – Unlimited and Rubicon, setting the stage for a showdown with the Land Rover Defender. As part of its strategy to cater to the Indian market, Jeep will introduce the locally assembled CKD import of the Wrangler, aiming to provide enthusiasts with a thrilling off-road experience.

One of the most noticeable changes in the 2024 Wrangler facelift is its refreshed exterior styling. The iconic seven-slatted front grille receives a makeover, now adorned with textured black slots and grey metallic bezels, complemented by a body-colored surround. Classical round headlamps add to the rugged appeal of the vehicle. Additionally, buyers can choose from a variety of alloy wheel designs ranging from 17 to 20 inches, along with several roof options, including soft top, body-colored hard top, black hard top, and more.

Stepping inside the cabin, occupants will be greeted by a slightly updated dashboard layout, featuring a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with Jeep’s Uconnect 5 system. This advanced system integrates various connected car features, including the Trails Offroad guide, offering access to 62 renowned off-road functionalities. Other interior highlights include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone climate control, 12-way powered front seats, and a new semi-digital instrument panel.

Under the hood, the 2024 Wrangler retains its robust performance with the same 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine generating 267 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, coupled with a low-range transfer case featuring Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time AWD system as standard. This formidable powertrain ensures an exhilarating driving experience both on and off the road.

With its array of updates and enhancements, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler facelift is poised to captivate enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. From its rugged exterior styling to its technologically advanced interior features and potent powertrain, the Wrangler continues to uphold its legacy as an iconic off-roading vehicle, ready to conquer any terrain with confidence and style. Get ready to embark on thrilling adventures with the new Wrangler, coming soon to India.
