Triumph Motorcycles has introduced a limited edition Bonneville T120 to pay homage to the legendary singer Elvis Presley. Known for his unparalleled influence in the 60s and 70s, Presley was not only a music icon but also an enthusiast of the Triumph Bonneville, which he first encountered in 1965. This special edition model commemorates Presley’s enduring legacy and celebrates his iconic style.

Elvis Presley Edition: Unique Aesthetics

The Elvis Presley Edition of the Bonneville T120 is limited to just 925 units worldwide. Inspired by Presley’s famous 1968 ‘Comeback Special’ performance, this model features several unique cosmetic updates that distinguish it from the standard T120. The fuel tank is adorned with golden ‘ELVIS’ lettering and the singer’s signature, which also appears on the side panels. The Bonneville tank stripes in Aluminum Silver complement the hand-painted gold line detailing on the striped mudguards.

The classic twin peashooter exhaust mufflers are finished in dark chrome, adding a touch of elegance. The handlebar clamp is laser-etched with a unique number and Presley’s signature, enhancing the bike’s exclusivity. Additionally, the front fender features the ‘Taking Care of Business in a Flash’ emblem, celebrating another significant achievement in Presley’s career.

The limited edition T120 sports a custom Carnival Red colour scheme, inspired by the J Daar custom Bonneville created to raise funds for the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation in 2023. Each bike comes with an exclusive Elvis Presley and Triumph Motorcycles record sleeve and a certificate of authenticity signed by Triumph’s CEO Nick Bloor and Jamie Salter, founder of ABG, Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Specifications and Performance

Mechanically, the Elvis Presley Edition Bonneville T120 retains the specifications of the standard model. It is powered by a 1,200 cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree firing order, delivering 79 bhp at 6,550 rpm and 105 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, ensuring smooth and responsive performance.

The motorcycle is built on a double-cradle chassis, supported by telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is handled by twin 310mm front discs with Brembo calipers and a single 255mm rear disc with Nissin calipers, complemented by dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety. The bike rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, maintaining its classic aesthetic.

Pricing and Availability

The limited edition Triumph Bonneville T120 honouring Elvis Presley is priced at £14,495 (approximately Rs 15.32 lakh). Bookings are currently open, with a reservation fee of £500 (approximately Rs 52,800). This special edition model not only celebrates Presley’s musical legacy but also his connection to the Triumph brand, making it a must-have for fans and collectors alike.

By introducing this unique tribute to Elvis Presley, Triumph Motorcycles continues to blend heritage with contemporary design, appealing to both motorcycle enthusiasts and fans of the legendary singer. The Elvis Presley Edition Bonneville T120 stands as a testament to Presley’s lasting impact on popular culture and the enduring appeal of Triumph’s classic motorcycles.
