What’s New With Volkswagen Taigun And Virtus Onam Edition Are Exclusive To Kerala?

With festivities around the corner, carmakers are making the most of this opportunity to lure the crowd with special discounts and exclusive editions. Volkswagen, has launched the Taigun and Virtus Onam Edition exclusively for the customers in Kerala. Celebrating the vibrant festival of Onam, these limited-edition variants are restricted to just 100 units. This is a part of a strategic push to attract buyers with unique offerings.  With the addition to the festive-themed trims, automakers are introducing limited-time offers and features-packed versions of popular models to lure customers. Such initiatives will enhance brand loyalty by tapping into the festive spirit and consumer excitement. With these launches, Volkswagen has also opened six new customer touchpoints across the state, including in Kochi, Calicut, and Trivandrum.

What is so unique about the Onam Edition?

The new Onam Edition of both the Taigun and the Virtus is limited to 100 units and is only available in Kerala. They are available in blacked out glossy paint colour but the Taigun’s front grille gets a matte black finish while the Virtus chrome touches on the front facia including the nose, front bumper and the fog lamp area. Packed with features like front parking sensors, dual tone horn, puddle lamps and a TSI fender badge these feature packed models will entice several customers from Kerala.

Feature rich Onam Edition

The GT Line, both the Taigun Onam Edition, is equipped with many features like 17-inch Cassino alloy wheels, electric sunroof, front ventilated seats. Based on the top model, it also has an 8-inch digital driver’s instrument console, a 10-inch infotainment system and an automatic climate control. The Virtus Onam Edition retains all the features apart from the alloy wheels and the sunroof. The sedan is based on the Highline variant.

Price and Specifications

The Taigun and Virtus Onam Edition are available between Rs 14.08 lakh and Rs 13.57 lakh ex-showroom respectively. Both the vehicles are powered by a 1-litre TSI turbo petrol powertrain with an output of 113 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. Both the Taigun and the Virtus are mated to 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic torque converter automatic transmissions.
