Markets Closes On A Positive Note From Last Trading

Market updates at the closing, equities ended higher today, moving ahead of the losses last Friday. Nifty was up by 83 points and Sensex moved up by 267 points.

Both BSE mid-cap and small-cap added close to percent each.

Picking from last Friday, Nifty picked up though a slight peek only, closed at 19.393.60 at 83.40 points (0.43%).

Nifty mid-cap, Nifty Banks, Nifty financial services, all colours in green. Nifty had opened at 19,320.65 and was at a high at 19,425.95, the lowest registered 19,296.30.

Sensex closed at 65,216.09 at 267.43 points (0.41%), opened at 64,852.70, recorded a high of 65,335.82.

Among its top gainers for Nifty today stood, Bajaj Finance, Power Grid, Adani Ports, Adani enterprises and Hindalco. The others for today in red were Jio Financial Services Ltd (JFSL), which was just launched today, Reliance, Mahindra and Mahindra, Britannia and Bajaj Auto.

The most active today were Adani enterprises, JFSL, HDFC, ICICI,TATA steel and NTPC, though both JFSL and HDFC were at a low.
