Mental Wellness Platform Oppam Raises Rs 1.5 Crore For Seed Funding For Driving Innovation
Kozhikode, Kerala: Oppam, an online mental health and wellness platform based in Kerala’s Kozhikode, has raised Rs 1.5 crore from Angels and Angel Networks for seed funding, aimed at supporting and accelerating development of their innovative products and deepening market access.
Oppam, which offers 24-hour therapy sessions, began its journey as an online mental health platform in 2023. The platform is now one of Kerala’s first youth-built mental health initiatives, reaching more than 40 countries and hosting 10,000+ therapy sessions, as per the claim by the firm.
In a social media post, the platform announced that it is grateful to have raised Rs 1.5 crore in the seed funding, underlining that the support fuels their journey to reach more people and make mental health care more accessible and acceptable for all. “One step closer to a world where mental health is a priority, not a privilege,” Oppam wrote on its Instagram handle.
Led by Phoenix Angles along with Angles founders, Oppam joined C Electric and Crink in raising funding for product development. Seed funding means supporting a startup at its inception, ideation or the beginning.
