Billionaire Mukesh Ambani, Asia”s richest man, is set to launch India”s largest luxury mall, Jio World Plaza, in Mumbai”s posh Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) area. The BKC is an urban development space where Reliance has already built Jio World Drive and Centre. When Jio World Plaza is launched, it will be the largest luxury mall, outshining other malls in the category such as Select Citywalk and DLF Emporio.
According to a report, Jio World Plaza may contain hundreds of international luxury stores, many of which would be embarking on their India operations. Although the exact opening date has not been disclosed yet, it is expected to welcome customers in the first couple of months of 2024.
According to reports, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, Burberry, Bulgari, IWC Schaffhausen, Rimowa, Richemont, and Kering are some of the luxury brands that will open exclusive stores at Jio World Plaza. Louis Vuitton will pay a rent of Rs. 40 lakh per month, while Dior will rent the area for Rs. 21 lakh per month. With all the luxury brands, Jio World Plaza is set to become India”s most expensive mall.
