Over 200,000 Employees In Saudi Earn More Than 20,000 Riyal Monthly

More than two lakh people in Saudi Arabia are currently receiving over 20,000 Riyal salaries per month in 2023, a steep increase from 2018, in which the number of employees with a package over 20,000 Riyal was 80,000.

The information was revealed by Saudi Arabia’s Human Resource Development Fund Director General, Turki bin Abdullah AlJawini. Over 200,000 Saudi employees have a monthly salary of more than 20,000 riyals, as per a report by Saudi News (Arabic)

Jawini said that the increase in the salary is a sign of improvement in the kingdom’s efforts to strengthen the labor market with more jobs being provided. He also highlighted the rising women’s participation in the workforce of the Kingdom, noting that it was Saudi Arabia that saw the highest growth in the women’s workforce in G20 countries.

Jawini had earlier in August said that the Kingdom’s Human Resources Development Fund supported more than 153,000 citizens to find work in the private sector, disbursing 3.79 billion riyals to private sector establishments for training, employment, and empowerment support programs during this period.

He said around 1.4 million Saudi men and women and some 100,000 establishments operating in vital sectors in the Kingdom benefited from the program. The program boosted partnerships with entities concerned with training, employing, and empowering the national workforce and increasing their competitiveness and continuity in the labor market. The efforts are part of Saudi Vision 2030 to increase human capacity development and labor market strategy.

Al Jawini added that the fund’s programs and services have helped increase the benefit of individuals and establishments and stressed the fund’s continuous efforts to keep pace with labor market changes and requirements, reported Arabian Business.
