Ratan Tata, the chairman of Tata Trusts, has denied reports that he has offered a reward of Rs 10 crore to Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan. The reports went viral after Khan was fined Rs 55 lakh by the ICC for displaying the Indian flag after Afghanistan”s victory over Pakistan.

Tata posted on X, formerly Twitter, clarifying that he has made no suggestions to the ICC or any other cricket authority about any player, regarding any fine or reward. He added that he has no connection to cricket whatsoever.

“Please do not believe WhatsApp forwards and videos of such nature unless they come from my official platforms,” he urged.
