IIT-BHU Students Organized Deepika Padukone Past ‘Love Life Drama’ Amid Student Molested Issue (image-instagram/deepikapadukone)
Amid turmoil of student molestation incident in the Indian Institute of Technology- Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU), the campus organized event has led to stirring of yet another controversy. The video of the event has gone viral in the social media.
The first episode in Koffee with Karan featuring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh faced massive online criticism when the actress revealed her casual relationships.
In the video of the college fest, a number of students were seen performing the love life of the actress. Participants came dressed as Mastani from the movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’. Meanwhile, the backstage screen showed the montages of Deepika along with Siddhartha Mallya, Sushant Singh Rajput, Yuvaraj Singh and many more.
Though memes trended in social media after the show with Karan Johar, netizens criticized students action as the video appears to ridicule Deepika and her past relationships. One wrote, “This BHU, Varanasi Uttar Pradesh Memes are ok. But This is character assassination of Indian actress Deepika Padukone! It”s just show the mindset of cheapest! It”s shameful act!”.

While few others came out criticizing the university for not giving priority to the student molested incident in the campus. “A woman was raped in the campus just a few days ago, we heard nothing more of it. Now this. The university has its priorities in place,” one wrote.

A student of IIT-BHU was allegedly molested and stripped by three motorcycle borne men, who also recorded the video of the act near her hostel. The students conducted a protest on November 2 demanding the ban of outsiders inside the campus.
As per the complaint filed, the girl was out with the friends on Wednesday night. Three men came on motorcycle and forcibly took her to the corner after separating her from her friend. The accused then forcefully stripped and shot video of her. They left after 15 minutes after taking her phone number.
Police investigation is going on and as per the complaint filed, an FIR has been registered under section 354 (assault or criminal force to women with intend to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penel Code and under provisions of IT Act of Lanka police station, reports the Telegraph India.
