Breast Cancer Awareness Rally Organised

Vazhayur: A breast cancer awareness rally was organised by the Women’s Development Cell and the Department of Biotechnology of SAFI Institute of Advanced Study (Autonomous) as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

As part of the programme, awareness activities were conducted at around 40 households in Ward 9 of Vazhayur Panchayat, and information leaflets on breast cancer awareness were distributed to residents. ASHA workers from the Vazhayur Health Department also participated in the programme.

Dr. Himna P. A., Convenor of the Women’s Development Cell, flagged off the rally. Nafila, Akhila and Dr. Deepa, Assistant Professors in the Department of Biotechnology, coordinated the programme.
