GATE, JAM 2025 Exams In Prayagraj Shifted To Lucknow Amid Mahakumbh
The GATE 2025 and JAM 2025 examinations scheduled in Prayagraj on 1st and 2nd February 2025 have been relocated to Lucknow due to the anticipated crowd surge for the Mahakumbh. The GATE Organising Institute, IIT Roorkee, and JAM Organising Institute, IIT Delhi, issued a statement acknowledging the logistical challenges faced by candidates in reaching Prayagraj during this period.
“Representations from several candidates highlighted the difficulties of accessing examination centres in Prayagraj due to the large congregation of devotees expected for the Mahakumbh. Consequently, the scheduled exams for GATE and JAM on these dates will now be held at centres in Lucknow,” the statement read.
Details of the revised examination centres, with updated codes and addresses, have been published. Fresh admit cards reflecting the new centres have been issued. Candidates are advised to download the updated cards via the GOAPS portal for GATE (https://goaps.iitr.ac.in/login) or the JOAPS portal for JAM (https://joaps.iitd.ac.in/login).
It is imperative for candidates to verify the updated centre details on their admit cards and ensure they carry a valid photo ID for identity verification, as listed in their application form and admit card.
