IIT Roorkee Starts GATE 2025 Registration Process

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has started the online registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. The GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal is open for registration. Interested and eligible candidates can visit the official website – gate2024.iitr.ac.in to do the registration until September 26, 2024.

The information about the GATE 2025 application process is shared on X via the GATE official account stating, “GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) is live now”.

IIT Roorkee has scheduled the GATE 2025 important dates of registration and examination also. Here are the details of some of the important dates:

  • The opening date for online registration is August 28, 2024.
  • The Final date of online registration is September 26, 2024.
  • The Final date of online registration with a late fee is October 7, 2024.
  • The examination will be conducted in February 2025 on 1, 2, 15 and 16.
  • The result will be declared on March 19, 2025.

GATE 2025: Important Information

Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd year or higher of any undergraduate degree program or has completed degree are eligible to sit for the GATE examination 2025.

The application fee for the female/SC/ST/PwD category is Rs 900 whereas for other categories candidates will need to pay Rs 1800.

GATE 2025: How to Apply

Step 1: Visit the official website – gate2024.iitr.ac.in

Step 2: On the homepage click on the link ‘ Apply Online’

Step 3: A new page will appear with the registration link

Step 4: Fill in the application form with the required information

Step 5: Pay the registration fee and click on the submit button

Step 6: Save the application form or take a print out for further use
