The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) has officially announced the Kerala plus 2 results. The long-awaited moment has arrived for over 4,41,120 students who appeared for the class 12th board exams in March 2024.
At 3 pm, State Education Minister V Sivankutty announced that the year 2023-24 has been a productive year. There were 77 evaluation centres for high secondary and 24,317 teachers evaluated the papers. While practical exams were held in January and February, the evaluation and tabulation were completed in April.
While the Plus 2 exam recorded an overall pass percentage of 82.95% last year, this year there was a slight dip in the number which is 78.69%.
Across 2,024 schools and 2,017 exam centres, 374,855 regular students wrote the higher secondary examinations. Out of these, 294,888 students have passed the examinations. The pass percentages for science, humanities, and commerce streams were 84.84%, 67.09% and 76.11% respectively.
This year, 39,242 students achieved A+ in all subjects, an increase of 5,247 than last year.
Over 63 schools across Kerala secured 100% pass percentage.
Wayanad emerged as the best-performing district while Kasargod had the lowest.
Students can check their results on the Kerala education board’s official website and associated platforms soon after the declaration.
The class 12th exams were conducted from March 1 to March 26, 2024, and students need to secure a minimum of 35% marks in each subject to clear the exams. Those unsatisfied with their results can opt for supplementary exams, which will be announced post the Kerala Plus 2 exam result.
How To Check The Kerala Plus 2 Results?
- Visit the Kerala education board’s official website – prd.kerala.gov.in, keralaresults.nic.in, results.kite.kerala.gov.in
- Click on the “Plus Two (12th) exam result 2024” link on the homepage.
- Enter the required credentials – roll number and date of birth – and submit.
- The result will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and print the result for future reference.
The announcement of the Plus 2 results follows the release of the SSLC exam results, announced yesterday, where the overall pass percentage stood at an impressive 99.69%.
Last year, the Plus 2 exam recorded an overall pass percentage of 82.95%. The pass percentages for science, humanities, and commerce streams were 87.31%, 71.93%, and 82.75%, respectively. Notably, Ernakulam emerged as the best-performing district, while Pathanamthitta had the lowest pass percentage. Among the high achievers, 71 students secured a full A+, scoring a perfect 1,200 marks.
