The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) has started the registration process for the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) India for the May session 2024 examination. Eligible candidates can complete the registration process by going on the official website – lsatindia.in. The last date of application is May 2, 2024.
The LSAT India exam is conducted to get admission into various law programs, including 5-year Bachelor of Laws (LLB), 3-year LLB, and Master of Laws (LLM) programs offered by 18 law schools across the country.
The exams are scheduled from May 16 to 19, 2024 in different slots available. Applicants are required to submit an application fee of Rs 3,999 to register for the LSAT India May 2024 examination. Those appearing for the exam can also practice the mock test provided on the official website to understand the pattern of the examination.
Notably, the LSAT India exam is conducted twice every year. The first session exams were conducted on January 21 and 22. Recently, the LSAC released the results for the LSAT India 2024 January session.
Exam Pattern
The total exam duration is 2 hours 20 minutes. The LSAT India 2024 exam will consist of four section comprising of a total of 92 questions including analytical reasoning, logical reasoning 1 and 2, and reading comprehension. Candidates will get a scaled score between 420 and 480 along with a percentile rank. There is no negative marking. In the exam.

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)
Apart from this exam, the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs. This exam gets students into the 22 National Law Universities in India to study law courses. The admissions to the 5-year integrated Ll.B. and LL.M. programs that commence in the Academic Year 2024-2025 shall be through the CLAT 2024.
CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities, comprising representative universities. Several affiliate universities and organizations also use the CLAT exam for admissions and recruitment respectively.
